my stw runs a 160 at 3340 fps, or a 140 at 3550, these are loads from layne simpsons data which I chronied in my rifle, don't thinka 28 can do that, and the stw was developed because it made full use of the 700 long magnum action, Remington brought of the rum as a fad because it was beltless,but if you act as if the belt isn't there and headspace them on the shoulder, the belt means nothing.
If you followed the info from remmy the year before and the year after, the factory specs of the stw was down graded to make the rum look better. they dropped the published MV for the stw 200 ft so it was slower than the rum.
