I just read the new Shooting Times magazine. Lane Simpson tested the 28 Nosler, personally I wasn't impressed. It doesn't do anything that 7 STW and the 7 RUM wont do. Also the Nosler Patriot rifle had so much freebore that Lane Simpson had to pull the bullets and reseat them farther out to the lands, as far as the receiver would allow, the Nosler has a short long action, shorter than the 700. The best groups he got with it was 1.22" 3 shots at 100 yards, after modifying the loads. Pretty piss poor for a high dollar rifle, in my opinion. Looks to me like Nosler dropped the ball on this one.
