The ruger all weather is matte stainless and a black synthic stock. The predator is a green synthic stock with a heavy tapered reel in matte black finish. I have a remington model seven and love it it is in 7mm/08. My 8 year old nephew killed his first deer with it last year. In all honesty I like the 7mm/08 better then the 308. Have and old ruger m77 in 308. So I have both calibers. The gun shop I deal with said he sales and average of 1-2 ruger Americans a month and its not that big of a shop. Again not a big fan of the winchester, browning, or savage rifles but that just me.
