I have two 16 footers, one set up to 16 and the other set up to 12, depends on the terrain i am in. you are going to need two people to put them up, one to push on the end of the ladder as you work your rear off trying to slide it up the tree, then you need to fasten the bar from the ladder to the tree. then take a deep breath, say a few prayers and have someone hold the ladder while you climb up and fasten the strap around the tree at the top. most of them have a flat metal seat at the top, i found i could build me a plywood seat, with arm rests that will bolt to the top of the stand, sure makes you feel a lot more secure. then just add a seat cushion and you will have it made. hope this helps some. lots of luck.
