Not sure I agree with that, the RAR has been out for a couple of years now and if anything they are cheaper now than the first run was! The All Weather option only adds $50 or so as well and the offering is quite broad and numerous. They are KICKING THE CRAP out of the sorry offerings in similar price ranges by Rem, Savage, TC etc... Ruger knows marketing, they are masters of it. A few of them still in charge learned from Big Bill himself and paid attention to him before he left us.

They know if they price it north of $500 then they are in a field that is much tougher to compete with. But as of now the RAR is head and shoulders above ANYTHING ELSE in the sub $500 range!
