I have a winchester 1300 speed loader with a 24 inch rifled barrel and shoot 2 3/4 inch winchester partition golds. I sighted in 2 inches high at 50 yds and the slugs are still about 2 - 3 inches high at 100 yds. I try to limit shooting beyond 100 yds due to the fact i shoot open sights. i used to use a scope but the one i had broke right before the season and i didn' t have time to send it back to the manufacturer before the season started. If you want a good hard hitting slug try the partition golds out, they pack a wallop but are worth it. I shot a deer on a drive today, i was posting and he came trotting by at about 20 yds and when i shot it looked liked the deer got hit by a car because he got knocked right off his hooves and never got back up.
