I have a 25-06 and a 300 Weatherby and love both. The 257 Weatherby is a great mix of a great caliber and lots of horsepower. If you are hunting with this gun, make sure you use good bullets. A plain-Jane 100-120 grain bullet at 257 velocities may fragment without good penetration. A controlled expansion bullet is a must.
