I have an inexpensive N C Star 2.5 pistol scope on my encore 357max. It has a illuminated retical red. This really helps o to 7 so you set it for the area you are in. I got it through Sportsmans Guide. It is standing up very well. I have had expensive scopes that were not as good and twice the price. Just a place to start.
