I hunt both southern and northern WI. I have no idea what fawns weigh but I have seen most does dress at 100-120 lbs. 1 1/2 yr old bucks dress at 130-145 lbs. Here are some bucks I shot at dressed weight: (5)2 1/2 yr old post rut bucks - 160 lbs avg, 3 1/2 yr old post rut buck - 185 lbs, 4 1/2 yr old post rut buck - 190 lbs, 4 1/2 yr old pre-rut buck - 215 lbs(approx.). The last one weighed 260 lbs on the hoof but I didn' t have help to re-weigh him dressed. He wasn' t long like some of the really heavy bucks but he was very stocky. The base of his neck was 24" .

It seems like people confuse live and dressed weight quite often. A buck with a fully swollen neck is very deceiving also. I have personally seen two bucks that dressed very close to 250 lbs. They look more like steers at that size than whitetails, its pretty cool.
