RE: A question about the Summit Revolution??
They are one piece, just like they set up very easily, just like the Viper. They are extremely comfortable, just like the Viper.
Having said that, I know some guys that do not like them because:
1. They are heavier than the Viper.
2. Contrary to what Summit says, they are not a stand up sit down climber, they are a hand climber. While it is feasible to climb with it as a stand up/sit down type, it is difficult and very slow.
I have the Viper with the footrest, and I have never taken it off since I initially installed it.
For me though, the Revolution is better than the Viper, and I love mine. For others, they did not like it and have gone back to the Viper.
