MQ1 - sounds like you need to either get a new hunting buddy or take some time to teach this guy a thing or two about hunting.

I' ve been hunting and fishing with my best friend for nearly 18 years. We' ve hunted the same 40 for the past 8 years. We have several stands up and consider each of them either his or my location, but will swtich stands in a heart beat if the other guy already shot a deer and the other isn' t seeing a thing.

As for the big buck and not telling him, if you can' t share in what you' ve seen after the hunt, why even hunt with him at all? I see that as a little childish actually, seeing as a buck could literally be anywhere at any time within 300-400 acres or more especially during the rut. Just my opinion though.
