I'm not looking for a monster, that would be nice, but a small mule deer will be big compared to the whitetail I have hunted in Texas. Very new to the area so all advice would be appreciated.

My first year as a non res here, I hunted left over tags. I found that the better hunting was north of Casper (based on tag fill rates) and did well. Stay with doe/fawn unless you are wealthy. If you are, I'm looking for work, too.
