Funny you should mention this. I have a .30-30 I bought at a gun show a couple of years ago, but only got around to sighting it in yesterday. It has a fixed 4x Bushnell scope. The scope picture was OK, but not great, at 50 yards. It was the next best thing to useless at 100 yards. As I sat there, I was wishing that I had a nice 3x9 scope, so I guess you know what my advice is! Let us know what you buy and how it turns out for you.
