RE: smith&wesson 25-5?
The model S&W 25-5 is an " N " frame as you probably already know. The original model 25 was chambered in 45 ACP using half moon clips.I believe the original model 25 was called the 1955 Target Model.Later on the model 25 was available like yours in 45Colt(Not Long colt). It' s a very accurate revolver and can handle quite heavy loads. You didn' t mention if yours has the 3 " T' s" or not.(Target trigger, hammer and target grips). I would say 400.00 was a good price for this Smith especially if it has the three T' s and the condition you said.If you handload you can work up some good loads for it. Allot of the factory ammunition is loaded on the light side due to the amount of old guns chambered for the 45 Colt that can' t handle the high pressures.Enjoy it.You done good .LOL.
