why not a wsm case in that 30" barrel, rated at higher saami specs so ya could run more pressure, have another inch of barrel to work with due to much shorter COL.
the 270 wsm runs a 150 over 3100 with a 24" tube, with a 30" 8 twist button rifled barrel you should be able to get 3200 easy with a 165 if you throat it just a tad long and give the bullet a lil jump. just a thought from a dumb redneck.
