You might be better off getting a bow like the Mission Craze - it adjusts down to kid size and weight. Down to 15 pounds and 19 inch draw. But it adjusts up to adult size and is a very nice bow that your son could use into his adult years. My son has it and it beats the heck out of what I have been using!

I think youth bows that are not suitable for eventually hunting are just money down the drain. If you think spending that kind of money on the Craze is too much, perhaps have your son donate half the cost from his allowance, birthday money, doing odd jobs, etc.
