I do want to add, when I had the 6.5 Gibbs built, I was hearing from a lot of owners who had Ray Romain build theirs that we're getting 3300 fps or more from them, however my failure to research what components they were using has left me with a rifle which shoots extremely well for one is slow compared to most, and is a bit finicky about jacket thickness due to a cut rifled barrel compared to the button rifled barrels of the other guys who shoot them, if I were gonna do it all over again, I would go with a lilja 8 twist 30" barrel chambered in 6.5/06 AI, would shoot at least as fast, easier to form, and easier on the brass.
