Question I have is: Can I have the barrel reamed out and re-rifled in .54 as a slow twist? A friend of mine at work says he has heard of a smith back east (anywhere is east of me) who does this. Any of you ever done such a thing and or have a reference for me?
Thanks in advance.
Send a PM to bronko22000. He's been a member of this site since Moses wore little pants. He knows a smith near where he lives (central PA) that does that type of work on black powder rifles and I believe he has had the man do that for him a time or two so he will vouch for his work. It may take a little time for him to respond as he's in Fla. visiting family right at the moment, but he'll be back soon, our rifle season is coming up shortly.
