If a rimfire rifle is a rifle, and the regualtions say no rifles are allowed, my guess is they are not allowed.

I know that the hunting regs put out by some states can be tough to understand. Indiana seems to change rules pretty frequently. Then they try to tweak the hunting regulation manuals to account for the changes, when what they should do is start from scratch.

Most likley there will be a number in the manual you can call to get questions answered. That's what I would do if you can't be sure by reading.
