Yes.
My dad killed dozens of elk with CoreLokts in a 30/30.
We often had to follow a blood trail for 100 or so yards but we got the elk.
Now the standard seems to be that the bullet is worthless unless the elk dies in his tracks.

Core Lokts are good bullets, especially big ones at moderate speeds like the 30/30 would shoot. Great elk medicine at moderate ranges!

The SST is designed to give maximum expansion on the front of an interlock bullet. I have had interlocks fragment on deer sized game, so wouldn't use it on an elk, there are just better bullets out there. I would probably trust it more at 400 yards than 50. At 50, it would come apart

And I LOVE the 270. It was the first gun I bought for myself when I was 17 and still my favorite! Killed my best two mule deer with it, one at 450 yards. Both were with the Hornady "light magnum" ammo that was the precursor of the "superformance". I do like the interbond much better than the SST
