I was out for my 3rd sit of our Expanded archery season this morning up here in Maine. There was a very light north wind in my face, about 34F out and at 6 AM I here a noise and out of a ravine comes a heavy bodied 6 pointer. He walks up to a spot about 17 yards away with his head down sniffing or something and then he turns around and runs about 20-30 ft back to where he came from, stops and slowly walks back into woods. He never looked up or anything. Now I haven't walked in front of my treestand for about a week and its rained hard between then and now. Did this encounter ruin that spot?
