Default "Old" Bullets

Came across several unopened boxes of 100 gr. and 85 gr. 243 cal. Sierra bullets, a few unopened boxes of Herter's brand 100 gr. 243 cal. bullets at a garage sale. Bought the lot. Lady's husband passed away 30+/- years ago. He reloaded. So they might be 30+ years old.

The Sierra bullets has is nothing more on the box for description other than grain weight and "Spitzer". These are flat based with an exposed lead point. The Herters have no info at all and are definitely flatter nosed. Also flat based.

Question is do any of you reloaders know if these are a "hunting" grade bullet suitable for medium game.
