RE: Anybody hunt the suburbs?
thnks for the kind words grizzly,
she said to me, " well what if you shoot someones pet?" i wanted to say, " unless you have a large bull mastiff that you dress up in a cotume that is brownish tan with really black eyes, a big black nose and white rings around its eyes and nose and a bushy floppy tail with white underneath and slip hoove shoes over its paws, teach it to be really skiddish when walking through the woods with all the other bull mastiffs in the nieghborhood in costume, thats not going to happen!"
but what i really said was, " ma' am, can assure you im not going to shoot anyones pet." which doesnt mean a damn thing to her. what she heard me say was, " blah blah blah kill deer kill deer kill deer torture bad kill torture stray arrows kill guts animal death deer death torture."
when i spoke with the land owner, he said his neighbors love animals. so i could just imagine that she just doesnt advocate the sport of hunting. which is a shame because just after i got off the phone with him, i was watching the local news and there was a 15 minute segment of how PA is so overpopulated with deer. there were numerous shots of video showing deer/vehicle collisions. im not talking after the fact, im talking actual collisions. when you can get clip after clip of a random car hitting a deer crossing a road, its not a rare occurence. they said there were over 150 deaths a years and thousands of dollars in vehicle and property damage. i hope she saw that on the news while she was at home sipping her gourmet coffee.
