I usually set up along Woods and open Fields so I have a combination of Hunting scenarios or if I'm Coyote Hunting in the heavy woods I try to set up at a good view point or I always try and use an existing Ladder Stand or Box Blind or when possible even a nice elevated Shooting House.Since most People around here do a lot of Deer Hunting there's always plenty of stands to use and take advantage of when there isn't I take a light weight ladder stand and set it up or even take a few rungs out of a taller ladder stand and make a shorter stand to at least get off the ground a few feet!

I have used a Climbing Stand a few times....it's just more cumbersome/difficult to use and carry Your gear or Rifle up with You.When we Deer Hunt I usually pack a Mouse Squeaker and a few tried and true mouth calls in case the chance arrives at coaxing in a Coyote or Bobcat comes in if in Season!
