I am glad that you have come up with the criteria all others be judged by to call themself a turkey hunter! " maybe I will get it"? or possibly maybe you will get it someday. Do I prefer a bird get closer and make every effort to take a bird as ethically as possible i love the thrill of having one breathing down my neck. Will I shoot 65 yards at a turkey with full confidence in my set up in the right setting absolutely yes. Equipment is changing my friend and I have 100% confidence in my gun and load at that distance a 40 yard shot with a bow used to seem unethical and irresponsible now its common practice out west and even in the east.
