Default RE: A little slow in Illinois

Sorry its slow up there, but down here they are going ape. Chasing, grunting, fighting, and moving till around 1pm. I am hunting in Pope County and Jackson County. Jackson County they have only started to chase, no grunting, and no fighting. A buddy of mine and I found a Honey hole with about a dozen P&Y bucks. I could not get a shot off at a 148" + symmetrical 8pt' r never a good angle or he went behind trees. (Biggest deer I have ever seen on hoof) My buddy saw two one nontypical with about 15 pts chasing does, to far to get a shot off. Then saw a 9 pt' r that would go about 130" , but winded him and took off before he could get drawn on him.

Hope your luck improves and mine too...
