Default RE: sound quality on calls???

I' ve blown a Folies Strait Meat Mallard call that is acrylic and retails for about $125. Foiles also has the Double Reed Legend call that has the same insert as the Strait Meat mallard with a little different design and is polycarbonate but is basically the same thing and retails for about $35. The difference in sound I noticed is that the acrylic call has a smoother, deeper, and all around nice flowing sound. The polycarbonate call has a sharper more raspy sound to it. Both are very good calls infact I exclusevly blow the Legend for ducks and for the price difference the Legend is al all around great duck call. I don' t know about other brands and that is just my experience and thought. Oh and the poly sounds like it kind of has an sharp echo to it in the main body of the call. I don' t know any other way of explaining it and the acrylic has more of a subtle echo.
