Maybe after three of us telling him "DO NOT SHOOT IT WITHOUT A CHOKE INSTALLED" he will get the message!!! You will ruin the threads in the barrel if you shoot without a choke screwed into the barrel to protect the threads! The various chokes constrict the shot pattern from very tight (full) to fairly open (improved) depending on what you're shooting at and the distance involved.
