Having Scoped many Marlin 336's both 30-30 and .35 Rem and wearing glasses I've found it's hard to beat a Leupold Scope for Eye Relief, clarity, dependability, Warranty and Resale value. Every time I get away from Leupold I'm disappointed. Redfield is now owned by Leupold and their Revolution line of Scopes are good value for the dollar and made in Beaverton, OR.

With that said, If most of your shots are going to be from out to 100 yards it's hard to beat a more compact size scope for that particlar Rifle. That means a fixed 4 power Scope, or a 2-7 variable. If you need to reach out to 150yds the Leupold VX-3, 2.5-8x36 is one beautiful Scope.

Let us know what you end up with!
