Take a Hunter Safety course and get your certificate.

Buy a hunting license.

Buy a .22lr and go to the rifle range.

Buy a 12 gauge shotgun and go shoot some clays.

Once you feel you are a reasonable good shot - head out to the field.


Most start out shooting squirrels, rabbits and game birds.
