They should do the job if you're talking about short to medium range shooting. I used the 180 grain round nose Remington CoreLokts in my 30-06 for whitetails in northern Michigan for years with perfect results on every deer. Then when I started hunting almost every year out in Wyoming I changed to 150 grain Hornady BTSP handloads for longer ranges you get out there and continued to use them up north for shots that are generally under 100 yards. The last two bucks I've shot up there with them were through the ribs at 10 yards from a treestand and that buck didn't move. The other was also through the ribs from a ground blind at about 30 yards and he only went about 25 yards before piling up, so I think I'll stay with them.
