That's what I've got on my 336. I'm thinking about going to a 4x, if it'll be a little brighter/better eye relief. Cranked up to 7, I feel like I need a little more eye relief than I've got with the Nikon on my Marlin, it a good check weld. It's alright, but not perfect. Killed a bunch of deer with it. Usually keep it on 4x unless at range. Previously had a Bushnell Trophy - I think it's 1.75-4x32- that I moved to my muzzleloader. I think I like it a little better, but thought I wanted more magnification for the range (which is where I'm least satisfied with both)
