I called Cabela's Customer Service today. (1-800-237-4444) and spoke to a very nice lady on the phone. I explained what the scope did, and she looked up all my information on it. She told me that they did not have any more of them in stock and would I take a Cabela's credit? I told her that would be fine. She then said she'd send me a shipping label so I would not have to pay the return postage, and simply enclose a letter explaining why it was coming back, with the form she is sending..

So that is the end of that. I told her I would put another same exact model scope on the same rifle,(I purchased two of them) and see if I could break that one too. She kind of laughed... but wished me the best of luck.
