I've had one of these for several years - not the brightest scope I own for sure but seems to be a ruggedly made scope. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm...2&src=exrbSrch
Mine is now my grandson's as it's on his new Optima. It has held up well for me after being on a few different muzzleloaders. Hope it does for him as well.
I mention this scope because a lot of folks are always looking for a good, cheap scope and I think this one qualifies.

I had a Millett Buck scope many years ago. It was one of the first I ever mounted on a muzzleloader. I have no idea why, but that scope caught me in recoil contact so much, I took it off. I ended up selling it.

The first two scopes I purchased were a Sightron and a Millett. I think both of them had a short eye relief. As they almost always hit the bill of my hat. And a few times got "close" to me. They were excellent scopes thought. Tough as nails and very accurate. I sold them both. I went to a Bushnell Dusk to Dawn, then Nikon's, then more Bushnell's, and then Simmons. Now I am on this PowderHorn kick. Maybe its time for me to look at a high end Leupold. But I would feel guilty treating one rifle so well over all the others.

That looks fine there!! I only now insist that if I purchase a scope it has 3.75 inches of relief on it. And I like more, like 4 inches even better. I use a very loose style of hold, letting the rifle surprise me when I shoot and then letting my shoulder catch the recoil. That could account for some of MY problems.
Actually the Millett was a very good shooting scope. I had that on a Knight LK rifle and the Sightron on a Knight LK rifle. Both of them were very accurate. BUT I got tired of my hat getting hit every time I shot it. It was so bad, I used to turn it around on my head, like some rapper.

My others are holding up just fine and I have put a lot of rounds under them. I think.. and this is only a guess, maybe the conical bullets shook this one apart. So when I mount the other.. I am going out and shooting conical bullets right away. If it is going to break, might as well make it break.
