Without knowing the spine of your arrows no one can answer this question for you. A heavier tip will make your arrow behave as if it had a weaker spine. So if you are shooting relatively stiff arrows for your draw weight/length a heavier tip will bring you more into the center range of your recommended spine. Remember, what little bit you loose in speed will be offset with better penetration and very likely a quieter shooting bow. And I would take the latter two over speed any day for eastern hunting.
