Here is some other thoughts on scopes. Redfield scopes are made by Leupold in Oregon. Its a fairly inexpensive line of scopes, but I havent used one yet. In all honesty, if this is your primary hunting rifle, I would encourage you to up your budget, or hold out longer so you can. IMO, its better to budget glass(scopes) closer to what you spent on the weapon. Granted, $200 is better then the $50 tascos and simmons, but I'd at least try to add another hundred to that, and get much better glass. With glass, you get what you pay for, up to a point.
