Actually the peak weight is when you tighten the limb bolts down....most bows come in a few pounds over....if you tighten them down, I still like to back them off a quarter to a half turn.....

I' ve also already uped the poundage by twising the cables or cables and strings on a single cam to gain a few pounds....NO, you will not harm or your bow.......

Plus, I' ve also taken 40 lb Hoyt limbs, put them in a different model riser and had a 70 lb bow.....

You won' t harm you bow or limbs tweaking and gaining a few pounds....
