Last January i tried to kill a deer with the rifle' ramrod. Afterward when i load the rifle i can feel a loose spot as the bullet approaches the powder. So, i decided to retire the rifle. As time went by i wondered how it would shoot, and it didn't seem to shoot too bad with the peep sight, but there would always be a flier or two. Recently i mounted a scope on the rifle, so i could better see if the fliers were me or if they were the rifle. Each day as i shot it it seemed to be reasonable accurate. Each day i fine tuned the scope adjustments.

This morning i set up at 200 yard, and from a cold clean barrel these holes were punched.









It was about 54 degrees up there with near still air. A walk to the target was taken so as to get a photograph. Then after walking back to rifle 4 more shots were taken.








The air began moving some, but not too bad. The load was 110g BH, 270g Deep Curl, green crush rib sabot, W209 primer. A move was made to 100 yard, and the elevation dial lowered 5 1/2 moa.

After 5 shots, the target was taped, and a move back to 200 yard was made. The elevation dial was raised 6 1/2 moa, and 3 shots taken at the taped target. The rifle was allowed to cool between shots, which didn't take too long because of the temperature being in the 60's. There was a very slight breeze.









I believe i am going to start selling some of my other rifles.
