1)Try formatting the sd card. Test the camera around home. This saves lots of travel and disappointment if the camera is not functioning properly. This is a good idea even when first obtaining a new camera. If that card didn't correct the problem, try another brand, one of those listed above making sure it is compatible in MB or GB size. Many of the older model cameras are limited up to 2GB size card. If the card GB is too large, the software in the camera will not recognize it.
2)Check the batteries for proper voltage. Try leaving the batteries out for a short period of time. This may cause your camera to reset if it has an electrical problem.
3)Check Moultrie website, or email Moultrie to see if there is a software upgrade for that camera.
Normally the flash or IR is only required at night or changing from dawn or dusk unless extremely cloudy (a dull day) or if the camera is in a darker wooded area.
