Lemoyne, interesting point. I have always been a little suspect of the 250gr 45cal Deep Curl because of the very deep hollow point. It seems to me that it might expand too much in a deer and maybe fall apart. But I can see how that deep cavity would be a plus at lighter powder loads. Conversely, I can see how maybe the .44 cal/240 grain (and the 300 grain) with its shallow hollow point, might not open up as readily at lower powder loads. This makes sense since the 250gr is for the Colt 45 and the 240 and 300 are for the .44 mag and .454 casull respectively.

7.62NATO, I've no experience with the lighter bullets either in .45 or .44.
