Need to be honest..took out the Loomis today and had one of the worst fishing days ever...

Boated 4 for 10 ...not good..

A couple may have been dinks but here,s a few I should have had..

1. Pitching a shoreline...feel tension..set the hook ..fish was wrapped under a bush..Did NOT feel the bite.
2. Pitched ..a big big bass sucks up the worm and swims 5 feet and is now under the boat..I did not feel a thing..by the time I tried to hurry up and set the hook..too late..and it was a 5 plus..
After I lost 4 more I asked the Lord for advice as He tells us to in Proverbs3..,"In ALL thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our steps"I normally treat all bass bites as if they are a 5 pound bass,..my heart told me"because the rod is much lighter..treat the bites as if they are 7 pounders..Set the hook harder..I then boated 4

Matt also struggled..missed his first 8...he had a beauty on a crank bait..he loves cranking sandbars first and foremost..he was drifting a black worm over a sandbar. The wind was tough. He thought he was stuck on a rock..lol..the rock moved and the fight was on..The entire bass cleared the water like a tarpon..He was thumb spooling her..and he felt relieved when she was netted. His only bsss of the day..but a winner for this time of the year.
