1. Casting...GLoomis only cast about 10 feet farther...same reel, lure and line and line capacity...both were refilled today with Trilene XLHad to use my thumb to slow her down..the GLlommis wants to cast farther..I hate back lashes so only cast at about 80%..Fenwick I use 95% and it stops by itself.

2. Catching ability ..went 1 for 2 on the Fenwick and 1 for 2 on the GLoomis....bites are easier to detect on the Gloomis.

3.The big difference..feeling the bottom..my BB shot Texas rig I can't feel the bottom very good with the Fenwick{ Feels like your going through mud}...I can feel the sand and stones with the Gloomis...same lure.BB shot and trick worm

4.Lightness..After 4 hours the Fenwick felt like a broom handle..the GLoomis still felt lite..

5. Fish bites...Fenwick..you are not sure Gloomis leaves no doubt..

Fun to fish ..GLoomis makes casting a little more fun..with smoother cast..the eyes on the rod are much smaller but not micro.

I plan to get one more..Both rods are 6 feet 8 inches..
