RE: High country archery
I have been shooting and hunting with my High Country Ultra Force for 6 years now and dread the day I have to replace it. I use to buy a new bow every 2 or 3 years at the most, But my Ultra Force is the best shooting bow I have ever owned, I have just harvested my 10th buck with it and also numerous doe' s with it and only 1 of those deer went over 50 yards after the shot. I have had a few problems with it, Cable bar kept falling out right after I bought it, they sent me an insert which took care of the problem ( I think the hole in the riser was made to big), then 2 years ago my limb split and they sent me new limbs ASAP.. The last couple of years I have tried to buy another Ultra Force to keep for when i was ready for a new bow but wasnt able to find one. I wish they wouldnt have stopped making them. Not only is it the best shooting bow I have ever owned it is also the cheapest bow I have ever bought I still cant believe I only paid $250.00 for it at a local Archery store especially when I paid $600.00 for my Mathews which I hated 2 years prior. I was just looking a my 2003 HCA catolog the other night and seen the Ultra Extreme which looks almost Identical to my Ultra Force other than a little shorter Axle to Axle, I might have to buy one for down the road incase they stop making the Ultra Extreme aswell.
