Good question, Muley Hunter. I shoot a 240grain conical with 80 grains RS behind it. I would guess that it is going appx. 1400-1500fps. It does not lead the barrel. I used to shoot lead bullets in a .357 mag. They should be going appx. 1400 fps too, and they leaded the barrel something terrible after a few shots. I suspect that the problem here was no lube, not too much speed.
