Well - we were hoping and the Geo Biologist said the heard was strong and growing. When I read the reports intake from the MRNF they state the heard is dwindling, birth weights low. etc - this does not match with what the scientist are seeing so I am not sure why they are imposing reductions - it may be to slow the natives down by agreement with the committes - the natives take alot of animals and much is sold off.

The lodges are fightng hard since the monies are out of pocket - Kisk and Mirage are both feeling it - as well as many of hte 1 and 2 man outfits that are no longer feeding the zone and in effect supporting the lodges for rooms.

All we can do is wait and see - another report should be issued just before the fall hunt ~ Aug/Sept some time.
