You are right - i really do not like Barnes bullets - never have. I tried them back in the center fire days from a 300 win mag - it zipped right through, close range shot, on a mule deer,. I can not even remember which one it was, but right after that I switched to Noslers Partitions and never looked back.
I did do some research on the subject and found out that the Nosler Partition will/would expand with a wider range of velocities than Barnes...
The other reason and the real reason is Grouse has already shot the Barnes collection in his testing. No need to repeat. He indicated to me that they shot VERY well from the 1-20
