I am going to start looking for a T/C Hawken or maybe a Renegade flintlock that is in rough shape in either .45 or 50 cal and sent it to my barrel guy to have it rebored to .54 and put a 1:70 twist in it. The Rene would be no problem but he told me today to watch the Hawken as T/C sent out a few with the dovetail for the barrel lug a bit too deep to safely bore it out to .54.
