I' m in the market for a new scope. The scope will go on a Remington 700 in .257 Roberts. I will use the rifle for deer hunting. I have been looking at the Bushnell 4200 2.5X10X40. Comparing this scope to my Leupold 4X12X40 Vari-X II, it is much brighter and clearer. The only thing I don' t like is it doesn' t have as much eye relief. If anyone has a suggestion for another brand of scope please give it too me. I am going to spend $400 or less and this doesn' t include the price of bases and rings.
