I agree. As a 26 year old I often dream about being able to go to Alaska, Canada, etc to hunt a moose, or caribou. He'll I would love to go to Colorado or Wyoming to hunt elk, or Idaho for black bear. However, like you mentioned, the prices are astronomical....I can't justify spending 5,000-10,000 when a hunt is all said and done. Not to mention taxidermy services and shipping meat back. It's frustrating.

I am putting in for antelope and elk points in Wyoming and hope to make it out there in the near future for a DIY hunt with a buddy who lives out there. Not sure I'll ever be able to hunt moose at these prices. Even a DIY moose hunt is a lot, in Wyoming it's taking about 10-15 years of points just to pull a tag,and now with the wolf population running rampant there, who knows how many moose are going to be around....
