Good grief! Now a rifle is cheating in rifle season.
How about a scoped inline shooting CF primers, smokeless powder (BH), and CF pistol bullets in a sabot during ML season. A gun that can clearly kill to 250yds. Some of them to 400yds.
How does that compare to someone shooting a flintlock with a PBR?
For the record. Not that I should have to explain how I hunt, but I will. I can't take the recoil of a ML anymore. My shoulder is too torn up, and it's gotten worse since shooting muzzleloaders.
My CF gun is an 8 1/2 lb .270. I had a muzzle brake and Limbsaver pad installed. It has the recoil of less than a .243. My shoulder has a lot less pain shooting it.
I'm a still hunter. I don't take long shots. I didn't go to a CF, because I want to take long shots. My last elk was at 70 yds. I used a PRB in a real muzzleloader.
Cheating my arse!
